Enjoy shopping and exclusive gourmet seafood at the Wholesale Market, usually closed to the public!

On Citizen’s Appreciation Day, the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month, a guide will show you around the Wholesale Market, which is usually closed to the public. A professional in the field will give you information about seasonal foods and how to pick the best ingredients. After the tour, shop for fresh ingredients and enjoy exclusive and extravagant Chiba Asobi rice bowls. In addition, participants will receive discount coupons for Kayouken and Totonchuu (the restaurants offering Chiba Asobi rice bowls) to use next time you visit!

▲Enjoy a special menu of Chiba Asobi rice bowls, exclusively for tour participants and made with fresh seasonal ingredients. After your tour, will you choose to fill your empty stomach with a seafood rice bowl or tempura rice bowl?

From JR Inagekaigan Station (Keiyo Line), take the Chiba Kaihin bus bound
For Kaihin Kouen Iriguchi (海浜公園入口) departing at 7:36 from bus stop 2 and get off
at the last stop, Kaihin Kouen Iriguchi (海浜公園入口). Walk 7 minutes to the market.
Elementary school students and younger should be accompanied by guardians.
The market is open rain or shine. In case of cancellation, participants will be notified by 17:00 the day before. When registering, please choose one type of Chiba Asobi rice bowl.

A: Yes, you can. If someone cancels, your reservation will then already be in place.

A: There are no cancellation fees. If you must cancel, please be sure to contact the event host in advance, as there may be others on a waitlist to participate.

Q: Do I get something if I make a reservation?
A: No, we don’t use tickets or anything like that.

Q: Can I pay in advance?
A: No, I’m afraid not. All plans must be paid in cash on site.
