Commemorate the Chiba’s 890th anniversary as a prefecture! Dress up in gorgeous costume peculiar to that age!

Chiba became a prefecture 890 years ago in 1126. Dress up in the fashion of the late Heian period and enjoy Japanese dancing. Choose your favorite costume from among esquire, princess, courtesan, geisha, town girl, etc. to dress up and learn the basic conduct. After you observe the costume and makeup of Japanese dancing which you normally don’t have a chance to see, you will be able to watch Japanese dancers give a dance performance. Please enjoy the traditional Japanese folk dancing to the sounds of the shamisen and flute. Afterwards, you can take a stroll around the neighborhood in your costume and take commemorative photos. Why not enjoy the feeling of travelling back in time for just 4 hours?

These are actually all dancing costumes. Deeply inspiring period costumes with patterns and colors you can’t normally wear!

Choose a favorite costume and
transform into someone else!

Leave the changing to the fitter who will help you with everything!

In 1997 he was selected as a trainee in the Agency for Cultural Affairs fine arts internship where he studied under living national treasure master Tomijuro Nakamura and the master Yoshiyuki Kanze, and at the same year he appeared in “Yasuna” at Tobunokai sponsored by a dancing promotion, where he received an honorable mention award.
